Lead Consultant Atelierdb Architects delivered a 68 key hotel for the Zetter Group of Hotels in the Bloomsbury Estate, Camden.

The 6 Georgian Grade ii listed townhouses had been converted into two hotels early in the 20th century, The Whitehall and Blooms, but were poorly arranged and in need of full renovation.

A complete internal demolition was undertaken with Iceni Heritage helping record and protect the few historic features that remained from the original townhouses.

The original concept placed the suite rooms in the lower ground. Atelierdb saw the opportunity to best position these at first floor – reinstating the ‘piano nobile’ principle and creating magnificent suite rooms with pod style ensuites.
