The Killieser Avenue properties are spectacular period houses, with substantial proportions. When appointed the house remained in its original form, having only a small rear extension added to the kitchen. The client wishes to protect the side return area, and didn’t want to lose natural light into the rear reception room. The preferred approach was to improve and extend the ground floor outrigger, and replan the kitchen and dining area to better address natural light and usage. We flipped the kitchen and dining spaces and designed a spectacular dining space with cantilevered roof to allow the doors to open in such a way to allow the interior space to join with the external areas.
