Cheyne Gardens Chelsea Architect

Atelierdb Architects were appointed to redesign the internal arrangement of a penthouse apartment at Cheyne Gardens Chelsea.

The existing apartment provided 2 double bedrooms with a cellular kitchen living and dining room experience. ADB provided design layout studies to improve the apartment by adding another double bedroom, opening up the kitchen living and dining experiences. Further enhancements included adding a clerestorey rooflight over the kitchen to improve headroom, as well as extending the ceiling line up into the un-used roofspace to create volume and height to add theatre and lighting design solutions.

Planning approval was secured via application to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for minor changes to the exterior due to roofline alterations within the Cheyne Gardens Conservation Area. Atelierdb ensure all permissions are in place when undertaking any changes to historical assets within the Borough of RBKC and equally address License for Alterations with the Landlord/Freeholder and Managing agent.
